Born and raised in Orange County, Muzzammil traversed three different continents over the last two decades on a journey of pursuing sacred knowledge. This journey included studying in Islamic seminaries and with traditional scholars of Islam in South Africa, California, Pakistan, and Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
Being blessed to reside in the sacred city of Makkah for just under a decade, Muzzammil completed courses and degrees in the Arabic language and Islamic Judiciary Studies from Umm Al-Qura University, graduating Magna Cum Laude and simultaneously obtained a degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from a local college. Muzzammil’s law studies then transitioned him back home to Southern California and into a law program at USC Gould School of Law, which he completed in 2022. He is currently preparing to sit for the Bar Exam of California.
Muzzammil now resides in Huntington Beach with his parents, wife, and children and remains passionate about Islamic education, counseling, and dawah. Starting Fall of 2022, Shaikh Muzzammil Dadabhoy will begin the role of ‘Chaplain to the Muslims Students of California State University, Long Beach’ as part of the Institute of Knowledge university chaplaincy program.
