Born in Pakistan, Imam Anas Habib resided in Saudi Arabia with his family until he was the age of two. He’s spent most of his youth in Southern California and began his Pursuit of Islamic knowledge and spirituality in Diamond Bar, California at the Institute of Knowledge in 1999 under the tutelage and guidance of Shaykh Nomaan Baig. He simultaneously continued his secular education, and graduated from the University of California – Irvine with a B.A. in Public Health Policy.
During High School, he devoted time to memorizing the Qur’an part time at the Institute of Knowledge (IOK). He then decided to take on his goal of completing the memorization of the Holy Qur’an in Johannesburg, South Africa as a full-time student. He returned to complete the memorization of the Qur’an at IOK in 2006.
Imam Anas graduated from the Institute of Knowledge Seminary with a Masters in Islamic Law and Tradition in 2019 and he currently serves as a full-time Hifdh-al-Quran and Islamic Studies teacher at IOK School. He is also the IOK Outreach lead.
